We are excited to continue our partnership with parents and student(s) to help them engage in their education through online learning.
The COTH Remote Learning Center, which operates as an outreach expression of Church of The Harvest, shares a faith-based partnership with various schools in the Olathe School District. The program is open to all students K-12th both in the Olathe School District and any other districts which provide remote learning options.
The COTH Remote Learning Center provides a safe, clean, COVID-19 compliant, alternative environment for parents who cannot send their child to the immense in-person learning. Each child is placed in a room with students of the same grade. Each room is equipped with state-of-the-art internet, complete with built-in safety features, and a workstation which includes charging stations for the student’s school-issued device. The workstation ensures that each student is six feet from their fellow students. The students are placed with a 1-10 ratio and have a least one full-time class facilitator to ensure each child is staying on task with provided schoolwork. Each facilitator also works with both the local schoolteacher and parent to ensure each child’s personal and educational needs are met. Each class is self-contained and has the opportunity to socialize and enjoy some recreation within the assigned group. This helps us ensure less potential COVID-19 exposure.
The COTH Remote Learning Center is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Doors open each morning at 7:45 am for drop-off and pick-up begins at 2:00 pm for elementary students and any middle or high school student not having extended class time. All other students are to be picked up by 3:00 pm.
Upon completion and acceptance of your student’s registration, each student is required to pay a one-time administration fee of $50.00. This fee assists us with the administration process and helps us cover the cost of our state-of-the-art internet system, complete with built-in safety features that help protect your student while they are here working online. Your child will also have the option of receiving a free daily lunch provided through the Olathe School District.
With the exception of the enrollment fee, this program operates free of charge to each family that is accepted. This is made possible through the generous donations of Church of the Harvest and our community partners.
We understand that we are living in unique and challenging times. It is our desire that our program continues to be a help to families in need.
