DAVID & TRACY FRECH

LEAD PASTORS
David grew up in Colorado, where his family was actively involved in their church and had many outreach ministries focused on those needing housing during the Jesus People movement. After some difficult years of fighting God and his call on his life, David finally reached complete submission to the Lord. He decided to attend R.W. Schambach’s East Texas Bible College in preparation for ministry after a radical salvation experience.  It was there that he met his future wife and ministry partner.

Tracy was born and raised in Ohio until 12, when her family began evangelizing across the United States and doing missionary work on the Native American Reservations. At a young age, she supernaturally received the gift of music and used that gift to lead worship, write songs, and minister with her family on the evangelic field.

David & Tracy were married in 1983 and began their ministry together by evangelizing the United States. Two years later, they founded their first church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, but after a terrible car accident where David broke his back, they relocated to Arizona. There, they began to plant themselves and see their ministry grow.  They planted churches, taught in, and established Bible Colleges, developed Christian schools, served on many local and international ministries, created successful inner-city outreach works, and dove deep into third-world missionary work.

In 1996, during one of these mission trips, David was placed in prison for the cause of Christ, and it changed his life forever. After returning home, he felt the Lord calling him and his family (wife and two daughters) to return to the evangelist field to share a fresh revelation that God had given him regarding laying down one's life for the gospel's sake. This was another tremendous step of faith, as they loved their ministry work and life in Arizona, but God was calling, so they answered.

The family traveled around the United States for two years preaching, teaching, and sharing the Gospel through song. During this time, they experienced countless healings, deliverances, and salvations as a genuine move of God and revival broke out in each city they ministered in. They loved this season and would have been content to do this for the rest of their lives.  But God had different plans that would take them to an unfamiliar city.

In 1998, David and Tracy Frech arrived at the Kansas City metro with a word from the Lord that they would experience a great harvest for the kingdom of God.  Within weeks one family grew into a small group of people meeting in a break room of a local body shop.

Not long after arriving, Church of the Harvest was born, and they have faithfully been serving as the Lead Pastors for 25 Years. They have seen God move powerfully and every promise be fulfilled as Church of the Harvest has grown to two campuses, planted churches, and supported and participated in international missions’ expressions across the globe.

They have been married for 40 years and are so pleased to have their two daughters (Charity & Toni) serve alongside them even today. Their joys are their three grandchildren and serving the kingdom of God.
