We are so grateful to have you!

Church of the Harvest is filled with people with a heart for the house of God. We believe in the biblical principle of tithing and witness God multiplying the generosity of our church family on a weekly basis. At Church of the Harvest, we consider giving tithes and offerings an act of worship. Because of this, we do not pass a collection plate during service. Giving is a part of what we call Church Interactive, a time we spend worshipping God in every service through song, giving, communion, and ministry.

Kenny & Bethany vochatzer

Kenny and Bethany grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri. They married in 2000 and have two daughters. They answered God's call on their lives by serving the church in various areas, which led to leadership roles.

In 2019, they became Church of the Harvest campus pastors in Independence, Missouri. They are deeply passionate and committed to leading people to Jesus and helping them experience the fullness of life found only in him.

independence FAQS

where are you located?

A high-energy and joyful praise service, a relevant, high-impact sermon, and a time of worship we call “Church Interactive.”

am i welcome?

At Church of the Harvest, everyone is welcome. We believe that Jesus's love is for everyone, no matter where they are in life.

what can i expect from service?

Church of the Harvest Independence Campus is conveniently located less than a mile off of I-70.  If you are coming from I-70, take the Noland Road exit. From there, go South on Noland Road. You will pass 39th St. and at the next stoplight (E Noland Ct) head West. From there, you will see Church of the Harvest in front of you.

How long is your service?

Approx. 1 hour 15 minutes.

What is church interactive?

“Church Interactive” is a time of worship where we leverage the presence of God in response to the Word just received. We may respond to the Word by receiving prayer from our ministry teams, partaking in individual (or family) communion at one of our communion stations, worshipping through giving at one of our giving stations, or simply worshipping from our seats.

What do you have for my kids?

Your kids will receive a full-blown, age-appropriate, exciting worship service consisting of praise, teaching of the Word, and fun activities centered around Jesus!

my kid has special needs, are they welcome?

Kids with special needs are always welcome!  Please reach out to the family ministries department beforehand so we can have an assigned volunteer present to meet your needs.

What should i wear?

Church of the Harvest is a casual environment where you are encouraged to dress in a way that is comfortable for you. You may see everything from jeans and T-shirts to dress slacks, button-downs, and Chiefs swag.  All are acceptable!

How do i give?

We do not pass a “collection plate” because we view giving as a part of our worship and encourage people to worship through giving at one of our giving stations during “Church Interactive. “  You can also give online and on our church app.

how do i serve?

There are many opportunities to serve.  If you are looking to connect with our Independence Campus, please reach out to Pastor Bethany on a Sunday or via email.

do you have small groups?

We have many opportunities to engage in small groups, as this is one of the primary ways we enjoy more intimate fellowship and create disciples of Jesus.  Check out our Harvest Groups here.

How can i get and stay connected?

The primary way to get and stay connected is to become part of a serving or Harvest Group, where you find relationships and accountability.  You can also stay connected by signing up for our weekly newsletter – Harvest Happenings.
